We spread the cost of printing, mailing and postage over about 50 jobs per mailing.

We send out camera-ready copy, which is the only format many editors will accept. They are low on staff
and low on time and need something that is ready to run. We send our stories out in various formats according
to the editors’ needs at no additional cost—hard copy (both 9 and 12 pica), CD-ROM, Internet, color
photos, etc.

We cover nearly all U.S. newspapers including several editors at each of the major dailies. We find new people will try this material each time we do a mailing.

There is a high turnover of editors in the industry and we have a large editor-relations staff to keep track
of which editors are at each of the 10,000 newspapers and thousands of online publications across the U.S. We follow editors from one paper
to another, which may or may not have used our material before but may use it with a new editor.

We send out summary articles with headings such as “Free Things To Send For” with write-in paragraphs (Web sites or
800-numbers) for each of the articles in a particular mailing.

Our reports are in color with graphs, charts, information on circulation, readership, number of placements
and equivalent ad space cost. We include a map of the U.S. with a pin dot for each placement,
demographic information on wealth, population, rank of market reached and a top 100 markets checklist.
We also give descriptions for circulation area covered (towns and cities the newspapers reach).

We use a variety of clipping bureaus and have several people in-house who clip the papers those bureaus
don’t subscribe to (often because some are too new or unheard of), so you’ll get the maximum number of
clips back possible at no extra cost. Duplicates are sorted out of reports.

Our writing service is free of charge. We take your background information (brochures, recent press
releases, a cover letter with key information you would like in the release, etc.) and mock up a proposed
story with a photo, graph or drawing at no cost or obligation. You can make changes as many times as
necessary before approving the story for distribution.

We average about 1 or 2 mailings per week. There is no deadline.
